Doublebase Dayleve Gel is an advanced gel formulation combining high levels of emolliency and exceptionally long-lasting protection, together with the convenience of as little as twice daily application. This is especially helpful if frequency of application is an adherence issue.

Doublebase Dayleve Gel contains:

• Emollient oils at a high level (30%) to protect against dryness
• A high level of a humectant, glycerol, to help retain residual water within the stratum corneum
• An additional agent, povidone, which forms a film layer within the stratum corneum, so as to further inhibit water evaporation. In addition, study data have shown that in addition to povidone's film forming action, it also appears to significantly improve the water holding capacity of the formulation by enhancing the microstructure of the gel.

• Doublebase Dayleve Gel has been shown to exhibit significantly superior hydration when compared with another prescribed emollient cream, when applied twice daily in atopic eczema patients. View study details.
  
  
• Important differences in skin hydration performance have been shown between Doublebase Dayleve Gel and two widely prescribed emollient creams in an ex vivo human skin hydration study. View study details.
  
  
• Doublebase Dayleve Gel achieved significantly longer lasting and cumulative skin hydration when compared with an established comparator cream. This has been demonstrated with multiple applications of both products, and following single applications.
