Doublebase Bath is formulated as a creamy emulsion which is designed to disperse throughout the bath water to cover the body evenly and avoid messy tidemarks on the bath.

Doublebase Bath contains:

• Emollient oils to soften the skin and protect against dryness.
• The humectant, glycerol, to attract water and moisturise the skin.
• The non-ionic soap substitute cetomacrogol, which gently and effectively cleanses the skin.

In an ex vivo corneometry study, Doublebase Bath increased skin hydration compared to bathing in plain bath water when measured immediately after patting the skin dry. Bath additives may therefore be a useful part of eczema care for children to avoid ordinary, perfumed and detergent-based bath products that are known to aggravate atopic dermatitis. View the study here.
